My near fatal tow rig accident 2500 CTD vs logging truck (pics) NOW 4 SALE

Hey now that I have internet back I thought I'd share my accident with you. I cant remember anything about the accident but this is what I was told. I was on Sly Park Road going about 50mph and collided head on with a logging truck. My truck bounced back 40 ft and the logging truck back about 20ft. Both trucks were totaled... yes I totalled a semi truck!!!! I am truley lucky to be alive, I thank god everyday for my life.

My injuries

I was told I was pinned in the drivers seat and they had to tear off the door to extract me. I was flowen by helicopter to Sutter Roseville and spent 6 days in ICU and a total of 16 days in the hospital.

*Consision

*Blood on my brain

*Broken jaw

*Missing teeth

*Collapsed lung

*4 broken ribs

*Bleeding spleen

*Dislocated hip

*Broken pelvis

*Broken ankle

*Broken heel bone

*Broken elbow

I should be dead

It's been over a month now and I still can't walk and still eating through a tube. I've lost 38lbs..... but I'm still in good spirits and I'm lucky to be alive. I

WOW! I am glad to hear that you are relatively OK and on the mend. That's another one of those "my guardian angel was watching" things. Heck of a way to loose weight, though! :-laf

I will say this... God seriously was watching over you my brother! Very glad to hear that you lived through that! And I dont blame you for thanking the Lord every day, heck, I think I would be on a hourly schedule of prayers after somthing like that!

Thank goodness you were driving a Dodge CTD instead of a Import. You are truly blessed to be alive. Hope your recovery is fast ;) and stay well.

Odd you should say that because 9 months or so ago a friend of mine was killed in that exact same kind of accident only it was a dirt hauler and he was in a honda. Fell asleep and died a few days later in the hospital. Good to hear you made it though!! Someone up above was looking out for you!

Blessed

you have certainly been blessed to be alive and continue to do the work and tasking that the good Lord has set for you. if you were in a import or something smaller than a 3/4 ton, the outcome would have sucked badd for your family. stay positive and get back on your feet, im sure your wrench turnin' days arent over just yet!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!!Jeremy

 Wow! Guess, Jesus aint done with you yet, eh? ;)

Wonder how a Toyota would have fared? Not being funny, but do you think the airbag did it's job? Hope all mends well and quickly.

Glad to still have you around... I'm on a Fire Dept. and have seen much less damage that killed people. It wasn't your day to go.

Your accident has brought back some memories for me.

WOW can I relate to your situation.

Almost identical injuries too.

All the best in your recovery. Glad you are on the mend.

I spent 3 months in the hospital and 3 wks in the ICU after my truck landed on me flipping end for end at 70 MPH. Dumb young kid stunt from years ago.

I can only imagine some of the thoughts you had after that.

Wow is all that comes to mind when I see you were actually able to sit and type that. Like JLitton said, Ive seen alot less damage that had resulted in fatalities, Someones out there lookin out for you brother. Best of luck and a speedy recovery. Let us know how your making out. Jim
