WOW. That's amazing. Glad you made it out of that. I'll think of those pictures every time someone starts preaching about those imports, hybrids and other such death traps.

Good Luck in your recovery.

Like I said I cant remember a damm thing. But I was told I crossed over the double yellow and the Logger was sent to the hospital and released later that day.

This happened on my way to work on a road I know really well. I wish I knew what happened so I could correct the problem. I am now in in market for a much slower 2003 CTD. I will be slow lane dan now.

That's possibly the worst mangled truck I've ever seen. God must really want you to live. [/QUOTE]

Yeah thats what the CHP, tow truck driver said.

Ive seen mangled up cars before but never a 3/4 Ton Diesel on 35's

P. S I'm glad my twin turbos had yet to be installed.

Parts for sale... ... .

Its one thing to be alive its another to be in recovery. There is and was ALOT of PAIN involved. Dont get me wrong I and happy to be alive but it has been an awfully rough road. I had 3 surguries on 9 days and couldnt live without pain meds until last week.

Ive had prior injuries in the past but multiple injuries suck ***. I miss food sooooooo much, more then anything!!!! no being able to walk also sucks.

Im very lucky ive had such great care, Doctors, Family, Friends

Good luck on your recovery. Keep your spirits high. Somebody was definitely watching out for you that day. I know many hear on this site will be thinking and praying for you.

WOW, like has been said, I've seen fatalities with less damage. Glad you are alive and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Mike

WOW, ,they should of buried you with your rig,you beat all the odds, buy a lotto ticket when you can. Maybe that cummins,3/4 ton frame helped out a bit as well as the good lord. Glad to see your on the mend. Good to hear that you have family/friend/TDR members to help you though this. Keep us posted on the recovery and the new rig. ---Later DW,PS----thats a survival story you can tell your grandkids around the campfire one day. ;)

You got to look at the bright side

Yes Sir you got to look at the bright side you are ALIVE. I don't see how you came out of that alive. The good lord had to be looking out for you. They say time heals all wounds. We will see. Anytime you need someone to talk to, e-mail me. I got lots to talk about so I am here If you need a buddy. I can talk about cars,Trucks, antique cars, and even junk. That my 33, 5 window coupe that I drive when the weather Is nice.

Dan Your a very lucky guy! Glad you made it!!!!

wow... those are very scary pics... Ive seen a few of a blue 4x4 dually where the front was ripped off here on TDR (dont know the story behind it)

any pics of the motor? that had to be in your lap...

Ian

Glad to see your doing better since the accident. Time will mend all and you will be back to normal. I was in a bad motorcylce wreck in 7/99 and it took a while to recover but that I did and I am as abnormal as I was before... ;)

God Bless and hope 2006 will be a bit better for you all.

the good lord smiles, i suspect the mass and size of the cummins helped keep and deflect some of that force out of the cab, a gasser may not of been as survivable with less of a battering ram under the hood. good luck and get well soon

BigDan... I never knew there was anyone else on TDR from the same town as me. After seeing those photos it is amazing that you are still alive... ... ... just incredible... .

When did it happen and where abouts on Sly Park Rd? I'm sure I drove that road the day it happened, I drive it any day I leave the house.

Hang in there and please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. I live just above Sly Park Lake.

Best wishes to you on a speedy and full recovery.

Andrew
