Hey Dan.

I am glad you are alive after seeing your pictures, hope you recover fast and heal up with out any complications. I know sort of what you are going through, I was in a head on crash this Sept. I luckily only received a shattered ankle, the other people did not fair so well. They crossed the center line in a Dodge mid size car and hit driver's side to driver's side. My truck was a totaled .

That is amazing you survived! What log truck company was it? My friends have been logging up that way, they didn't mention any accidents with their truck but who knows, I hope it wasn't one of theirs.

You are a very lucky man, Dan! I guess the man upstairs wasn't ready yet!

or is it, Heaven won't take you and He!!'s afraid you'll take over!?

Godspeed on your recovery!

Josh

Holy Crap, I am a firefighter/vehicle rescue tech, and that is BAD, I am AMAZED you survived, they probably did more than take the door too, they probably had to do a dash roll too, probably was a pretty involved extrication due to your and the vehicles conditions.

So was the driver of the semi ok aswell I assume?

If so, does s/he remember anything that happened?

That's crazy that you are still around :)

Hey I was told the logger was taken to the local hospital and relesed later that day. He was ok.

The accident happened on Nov 22nd at 4am on sly park road at Midway. I not on a major turn just a little S type wiggle.

I am 26, un married but have a very special GF :) , no kids. Up until the accident a grocery worker. I had planned on being a diesel mechanic for southern pacific rail road but that will have to wait until I recover. :(

WOW! The fact that both you and the logger are still here is a miracle. I agree w/the others, something else is planned for you. Good luck to you in your recovery. Take care.

BTW-is that a picture of your GF saying your #1? :-laf

UPDATE

WOW my luck is great. I just got off the phone with my insurance and they valued my truck at $20,000!!!!! I bought it almost 2 years ago for $17,500:grinpimp: :

But I did put alot of $$$$ into it. I hope/pray my Billet DTT transmission is ok.

If I want to keep the truck its only $500. Do you think I should do that???

Boy from those pictured I do not see anything worth salvaging for $500. 00

If the transmission is good then it might be a bargin. ;)

Like I stated before you are one H*ll of a lucky guy. God Bless and stay well

Rob

Dan - I think it's worth the $500. Even if just for the billet parts if the rest of the trans is broken or whatever, then there's the Comp box, injectors, rear dif, and maybe the tailgate? Sounds like you are getting better if you are thinking on these lines - good to hear.

God Looks Out for His...

God took care of you and he took care of two of our pilots who lost a jet about three weeks ago. Trucks and planes can be replaced, but people can't.

God bless you and I pray you have a speedy recovery,

You're one lucky and blessed guy!

If you were to figure out the kenetic energy that was consumed by both vehicles, it would be astonishing I imagine.

Speedy recovery and best of wishes for whatever is in the future for ya.

BTW is that the Valve cover I see just before the paper looking thing near the center console?
