Just traded a very troubled 06 2500 for this 02 3500 HO with only 51,000 miles. I've had five CTD's and three of them have been 02 HO's. I think I may prefer these trucks to anything else out there, hmmm. It did need a an injection pump and lift pump, but I felt it was still worth it.

Glad to be back in the 2nd Gen fold.

Man.....

Nice ride love the red. I had the same truck in a SO, auto with 4:10. 1's.

I sure miss the sound of that 2nd Gen lighting off in the morning in campgrounds;)

I have had 4 of the 24 valve CUMMINS and prefer them over ANY other diesel truck. With a few modifications, I think the reliability is the best out there.
Out of the 4 diesel trucks, the only one that ever gave me any trouble in the fuel department was the HO. Here is a link to the post/survey I tried to start. I never had any hard data or other members support my claim but in my opinion the HO's different pump is what causes the issue. If not a problem then why can't a SO pump be put on to run a HO engine? That truck is a great find. Low milage on a 02 is VERY nice. Does it have center axle disconnect?

~ HO pump part number ending 028, NOT 027 ~
