I doubt the hurricane proof claim can stand up. The wings provide lift no matter what forces the flow of air over the wings. Several years back a tornado down at Altus AFB picked up a C-5 Galaxy and threw it into another C-5. And they weigh many more times than that 727. It would be a read doozie of a ride tho if you did go through a high wind.
