Mine goes from being "right on the money" to "close enough". It is the most accurate when on a longer run rather than short trips.

Mine has been within . 2 mpg every time good or bad depending on what kind of mood my right foot has been in for the week or traffic conditions. Long traffic lights and heavy traffic seem to lower my average alot faster than an occasional WOT...

mine is right on the money. i have checked it by hand and computer and it is always right on. i figure if anything is off it is MY calculations (put more fuel in one time and then not as much the next).

Mine is accurate only if I spend the 5 extra minutes it takes to completely fill the fuel tank, if I just stop filling when the nozzle shuts off its off by 1. 5 mpg.

Maybe that's it... i always fill it to the brim...

I have found mine to be very accurate both while towing and running solo.

As I said in my previous post, my overhead display is accurate. I did not mention that I stuff all the fuel in that I can when I fill up. That could be the difference. I don't think you can get an accurate mpg average without consistantly filling up the tank to the same level. Some fill up with a large hose, get a half a tank full of foam, figure the 28 (or whatever) mpg on that tank and that is the number they use when asked what mileage they get.

Mine has been mostly accurate withing . 3mpg. The temp is what is off. It is usually 4-5 degrees low. Can this be calibrated?

Mine is off too

Temp is always +-1 degree F, but mpg always reads low compared to the hand calc. I fill it up the same every time. Go til it clicks and then four more times once the foam goes down. Usually 5-8% off.

Mine was always off by 2-2. 5 mpg. Now that I have my 315 BFG's, it is WAY off. I just add 9% to the miles and figure by hand.

Mine was DEAD on when the truck was new for the first 3 tanks, but then gradually began reading lower and lower than actual.

Now it is consistently 1. 5-2. 0mpg low. I attibute it to the computer not compensating for increased efficiency with break-in. I have changed absolutely nothing on my truck, still bone stock at 6300 miles. This past weekend driving to Seattle at 75-80 bucking a stiff headwind registered 17. 3mpg but by hand it was 19. Coming home it showed 20. 6 and by hand it was 22. 8, driving 70-75 with a nice tailwind.
