My Preformance GMC/Cummins conversion is done! (PICS ADDED!!!)

Hey Guys- In the past I posted ALOT of questions about preformance mods on here and after alot of $$$ and work/headaches my conversion is done. I have yet to pull with it (I still have to put my twins on, water injection, ARB locker, Haisleys aux fuel system and put my airshut off and drive shaft hoops on) but that should be happening soon, the hardest part is done!

Anyway,I unfortunatly can't post identical pics so if you want more info or to see the pics click this link https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1568804#post1568804 and it will take you to the conversion page where I posted everything about it!

And here is a shot from the rear and another of the engine compartment (its alot cleaner looking now) and the last picture is of it at the wedding with the guys... I got it finished just hours before my wedding and actually took it out for the first test drive at 11pm the night before!

Thanks!!! That is a High Tech Turbo SledPuller 66/14. It has a custom wastegate by them that Paul said will work great with twins. For the large turbo I was going to run an HTB3 but now after seeing how much fuel I have I am jumping up to a Big Brother. I will be running the Big Brother up on the fender and running a hood stack! going to be a waste to run a stack thru the nice Cowl Hood but it will look killer I think!

Better look into your local laws, that might be against the law on the street having a stack out of the hood. When I was stationed in California everything was against the law. I couldn't even stand in my yard work on a car and drink a beer. I got a warning. Public display of drunkiness. #@$%! I told the cop I'm so glad I fight for freedom... arsehole

Not to concerned about the hood stack because its pretty much a dedicated pull truck! won't be driven on the street to much and there are others driving theres on the streets up here with nothing set as of yet.

Heck ya man, hood stacks rock. I love em.

I wish I could get a straight answer from the law here in NM, if they say its kosher, thats what Im doin!!

Thanks Jim- You were a huge help in figuring alot of stuff out and pointing me in the right direction engine/pump wise! I still don't have my dual feed hooked up yet but have it all figured out. I am waiting on my fuel dump valve right now and then it will go together!! Thanks man!

Thanks for the great comments!

Scott- Just found out some bad new's about my brothers minutes ago. Just before he pulled it off the road at the end of October the transmission started to make one hell of a noise... I actually thought it was the dual disk clutch and said we would pull the transmission when I had time. Well, Christmas eve it is I am done in the shop for the day so out we go to look at the truck. Pulled the PTO cover on the 5-speed and sure enough there are gears lying all over the bottom. From what I can see thru the cover there are 2 gears cleaned right off! Funny thing is when it happened he was taking it easy in town here in 3rd gear doing 50kms. I looked at the gears and 80% of them must have been cracked for a while because you can see the old crack and then the fresh break.

Oh well... ***** happens and he will make it better for next year!

He is actually moving up into my class this comming year and will be running twins and water and will actually be able to run weight out the front of the truck which will help him out alot.

Have a good holliday all!!!!
