The Ram of the Scourge of the Desert was named "Anaconda" by the dyno operator, because it is big and heavy, and crushed the hp and torque figures put out by a Viper on the same dyno. Higher hp, more than double the torque!

No, the Viper's owner was not there; it was an archived run/graph. However, it was fun getting on lists and telling Viper owners they could increase performance by swapping in the diesel engine! 4 fewer cylinders, 129 fewer cubes! Don't need no steenkin' ignition system, either!

It has been hard to keep my mouth shut, and be plain vanilla polite, when seeing other customers at the shop running their gas pigs--even so called race engines-- and getting about 1/2 the hp and 1/4 the torque of the diesel! While some turbo gas racers have made more hp than earlier power versions of the Anaconda, none have exceeded its 1012 ft lb. That is still the record on that Dynojet, until it returns to break its own record hehehehe
Ain't no bombs like Cummins!
