Okay, I'm a newbie to both the diesel and the truck world, so please excuse me if don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm also the type that likes to understand what I'm dealing with, so when I got my truck, I ordered the service manual too. (Got the service manual first, actually. ) So after my little event yesterday, I spent some time learning the fuel system, and read as much as I could at these forums.
Starting point: 99 4x4 2500 41k miles, stuck to Maint. Sched. B mostly. Had the manifold heater relay stick the first winter I had it, dealer replaced all kinds of stuff. After that, I haven't had a single problem with it. (Well, went in for the hitch replacement, if that counts as a problem. )
What happened: came home for lunch yesterday, and when I got back in, I turned the key, and it just cranked. All it does is crank. Didn't even try to catch. For the rest of the afternoon I read the service manual, the TSBs, and this forum. I checked fuses, checked lift pump (I can hear it running the 25 seconds afterwares, etc), and got nowhere.
From the TSBs and the wiring diagram, I'd suspect a computer problem. From this forum I'd guess a suddenly injection pump failure, but I had no symptoms leading up to it.
It's at the dealer right now. I figured I'd get the ball rolling. They said they'd call me tomorrow when they got to looking at it (they were almost closed). Hopefully I can get some DRB info out of them.
Any thoughts or ideas? I haven't been able to find any mention of suddenly total no-start situations. I guess I'm lucky!
