Only problem may be retaining my goose neck hitch...

Yep, thats a problem, I had Mark Kendreck all set on the dump feture, except he's gotta gooseneck hitch, the problem lies where the hoist rests. It's position is just beyond the rear axle. Now if one wnated to get real creative, you could move the rear axle back a tad but, that's a new can o' worms.

Now that would take some talking... . :-{}

Would be nice to get a new 4dr, SRW, HO 6spd to put the GN hitch into, and keep the '93 for the dump. :D :D

Well, we can only dream.....

Just tell her... . "Honey... . sweety... ... Um... we need a 2nd truck... "

She'd reply... . "Are you out of your &$%# mind!!"

You'd say... ... "Okay Pumpkin Pie... . I'll go back to repaving the driveway now... . "

She'd then say..... "Good... and get me a beer while you're at it!!"

:D

Hmmm...

I did just buy & install her new dishwasher this weekend. But I'll use up any points gained on that at Muncie this weekend! Gotta get guages and some BOMBs. :D Oo.

Very nice looking truck. You did a very nice job with the diamond plate around the stacks. The dump body looks like it works very well with the stack installation.

Where are you in Clarkston? Im in Waterford I havent seen that truck around I would surely notice that! nice truck

:D Rick

Well Rick, I'm over by Pine Knob, I'm surprized you ain't seen it, I drive about 40,000 miles a year, alot of which are local. Just roll yer window down, you'll hear it!!:D

Beautiful job, looks great. Is there any problem with too much noise on a trip?

I imagine if I were to do this setup on a dump bed, I would attach the stacks to the bed and bell out the stack pipe to cover the exhaust pipe when the bed is lowered.

Nice work

Michael

Michael,

Thanks man, as far as noise, I did a 2000 mile trek right after the install, and it was a bit much, it had a wicked drone at 72+/- mph. After I got back, I installed the factory resonator, that made it much nicer, it still gets LOUD when I pour the coals to 'er!:D But, at idle and general cruisin', it's perfecto'.

I'm not sure what you meant about..... I imagine if I were to do this setup on a dump bed, I would attach the stacks to the bed and bell out the stack pipe to cover the exhaust pipe when the bed is lowered... ... ... but, the stacks have a "y" inside the bed, it's just hidden under the diamond plate, they're both hooked-up, and both smoke real good. :D

Nice job...

Mine are set up about the same way, except no dump-bed and my stacks are turn-outs. I did the diamond plate around the stacks and under the toolbox also. How did you cut your holes in the d. plate for the stacks. I used a jigsaw but mine are slotted to the front of the bed and meet up with d-plate angle that I used for mounting brackets. One of these days I'll get off my butt and post some pics... . Doug

I think I saw that "SMOKIN" license on a '68 VW bus and the two hippies in the front seat must of been poor cause they were sharing a cigarette. :D
