My NV4500 is acting up. It works ok, it has been hard to shift since I put in a clutch a couple months ago (10,000 miles ago) and I noticed it had some play in the input shaft.

The other night I couldn't get it to go into gear from a stop, which is the same thing it was doing when my 3rd clutch broke. Then it started working again. Now when I try to downshift it has a vibration when it's spinning up to match the rpm, so I have to rev the motor to match rpm when I downshift now.

I'm thinking maybe the input shaft bearing is gone? Is this thing gonna leave me stranded somewhere or will it slowly self destruct? It has 110,000 miles on it.

I think you are describing a mis-adjusted clutch. You should have about an inch of free travel.

Hope this was some help.
