I have an 05 quad cab 3500 with the 6 speed and 177K miles. I have changed the front axle joints now 4 times and they're starting to click again. I switched to the ones with the grease fittings and grease then religiously. I have changed the hubs and the ball joints once. As you know its a lot of work changing those. Is there something wrong with my truck possibly? Do they make a high end u joint? any other options?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

thanks John

odd, are you in 4x4? seems really odd to me. i just replaced my OEM ones at 235K.
very interested in the out come of this one.

sorry for the delay in response, I was off grid for a bit :-laf. Um no the truck is not in 4X4 all the time, just when I need it occationally. I do notice when I am in 4wd that the truck "shucks?" if that makes sense. Like I say I grease them religiously so when I change them they're not dry….just worn out. I don't know if its something just with my truck or a common thing. I did have to replace every u-joint on the truck at one point or another. I would be nice to find a better option then having to change them so often.

You can do a free spin kit. It was one of my reasons for doing it. I gained just under 1mpg with the change so that helped a little too.
