would that make my '01 quad cab an antique?
And you would have to go completely go through the brakes if you want quality and stopping power. :-lafI will be happy with a model or 2 back as long as its got a cummins.
Heck if i could buy a new 1st gen id be at the dealer in the morning with the $$$$$.

Its not the Joneses I'm worried about, but with the body changes and the fact that my 07 will be dated, I will lose some resale value. I don't think I will sell my C&C for a long time but just the fact that it will be worth less bothers me a little.I feel sorry for people who feel the need to keep up w/ the Joneses... newer doesn't always mean better
I've been a die hard 12v guy forever because they were always the best bang for the buck...
Now that the CR trucks are really coming down in price, I've bought a couple of them because I got KILLER deals on them.
But I can't imagine EVER buying a brand new vehicle. It just doesn't make any sort of financial sense
You can do like me,,
In '03 I wanted one, but I was worried about a few "bugs" they might have, and a rumoured HO engine,
so I wait,
in '04. 5 The H. O. and 48RE come out, awesome, but I see where the interior manufacture gets dropped and a new manufacture gets the bid,, hmmmm,
so I wait,
in '06, wow, new front end, and some new electronics, but I hear a rumour about a new motor, and new emissions,
so I wait,
'07. 5 wow a new motor and new trans!! but, what is this? in '09 the 1500's get a new look, that means in '10 the Heavy duties will get a new look,
so I wait,
now, I hear the 1500's get a diesel in '10, and the Heavy Duties will get a new look different than the 1500's in '10 also.
So, I'm waiting.
I might have to get a 1500 Diesel, and a 3500 Diesel.
Wait, wait, wait. argh. Should 'bought an '08,,, but the '10's will look so different, and look "newer" for alot longer than the '08/'09 I buy now...
so I wait.
