Well, I picked up my CTD from the dealer on May 29, been absolutley loving it!! I cannot beleive how well this truck drives! I didn't even test drive the new Dodge before I ordered it I just knew what I wanted, so my first test drive in a CTD was when I drove it home. What a truck!

Finally, the other day I actually put my foot down on the go pedal with some agressiveness and was stunned by this stock trucks get up and go! My Shelby Turbo Omni was fun to drive but it was suppose to go and only wieghed in at about 2650lbs, This truck, that weighs almost three times as much as the Omni surprised the heck out of me!!! What a bonus I hadn't planned on, a three plus ton Hot Rod :D Well the truck had 27 miles on it and then we started with the simple things such as the turbo silencer ring removal the AFE drop in filter, the Rear wheel well liners and the HD Rubber Mopar mud flaps. Next the gauges were installed (Full A-Pillar), what an nasty job that is, so darn time consuming, but looks ok, and the ISSPRO EV gauges are installed so now I can see whats goin on under the hood.

But here is a question for anyone running the ISSPRO EGT EV series gauge. ISSPRO uses an seperate amplifier/driving circuit box to run the gauge. After installing the gauge I noticed this annoying high pitched frequency emminating from the amplifier box! It's absoulutley driving me bats!! any one else using this gauge noticed the high pitch frequency? I've tried to squelch the sound by installing a foam box around it, which helps but it's still there. Yeah, I have tried the "lets turn the radio up louder fix" but you know how when you have this bad song/commercial in your head it just stays there. any help or insite from you fellow CTD drivers would be very appreciated.

Heres another quick ? I use the Prodigy brake controller, I love it when it works, but it has a mind of it's own, the senario goes like this:... apply brakes, feel trailer brakes apply nicely, feel trailer brakes go off! and look at controller, it say's "PL" (Power Loss) feel brakes grab again, ... ... feel trailer brakes go off again, controller says "PL" (Power Loss) the frequency off the problem is erratic and will do it often but not all the time. Any one had a bad controller? The tech line said to check the power to the controller, it's seemingly fine. Any insite here would be appreciated. If nothing else I'm going to get a replacement sent out early this week.

sorry for the long post, just cannot beleive how nice this truck drives!!! :) Oo. :D

Had the same problem with my isspro pyro. Called them and they shipped me a new amplifier box - haven't got around to putting the new one in yet though. They said it is a hit and miss problem with some of the boxes - and there was a change coming to fix it.

I install the EVs on a daily basis, and just like it was said above, some make the high frequency sound, and some don't. It seems to be more prevalent with the new trucks as the interior is that much quieter. Isspro got away with them more in the older trucks. Either way, there's no better gauges on the market in my opinion.

prodigy control

had a couple of problems relating to the controler

1- check there web site they are replaceing the earler version

2- if you have dexter axeles as i do [ 3 of them. the controler can can detect a problem that you dont even that you have . the wire that acuates the magnets is feed threw the the interior of the alxe tube where it can rub the insulation of the wire [2 out of my 3 axles had ware spots on the pos/neg wire] i pulled it and rewireded all 3 axles w/ 14 ga marine wire and tystraped it to the out side of the tube ,worth a look worst you can do is put in new wire and solderder all connections will defenatly improve your brakeing as most factory wire joints are simply wirenuted [they usally look pretty corroded in side the wire nuts what ive done is remove the wire nut clean up the joint than use rosincore solder to solder all the connections

enjoy

Prodigy Controller

I bought a Prodigy Controller from Camping World last October and it would not work. I had to install a different controller, but I thought I would try it again (a replacement) in my new truck and it has worked great every time.

I have had four Isspro EV pyros and installed even more- each and every one of them do it, but to tell you the truch, I only notice it with the key in the ACC position before the Cummins does her thing. ;) Once she starts, I can't hear mine.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks guys for the replies, I talked to ISSPRO and they mentioned they should have a new box to remedy the problem by the first week in July. They were real nice to deal with and had no problem sending a new box to me when they arrive. I do agree I am really pleased with how they look during the day and at night there great!

The brake controller is being replaced with another unit from Southwest Wheel. Mike there (Dallas Store) is real friendly and had no problem arranging for the new one to be sent out and the old one to be picked up. When the prodigy worked it was hands down the BEST controller I have driven with. I look forward to the new one working right.

Man, I'm so enamored with how well this truck drives!!!!:D
