Well darn.
I have been having problems with my EZ, I got it pay it forward a few months ago, and for the last month or so, I have been having trouble with codes 1693 and 0234. I have been keeping an eye on it to see if the codes stay gone. I have cleaned the connections, and cleared the codes. Tonight I got the dreaded 0216.
My truck (see sig below) only has 40K miles on it, and I am only responsible for 10k of those. All the mods (and BOMBS) are listed below. I check my fuel pressure at the VP every other fuel up, and the idle psi is 13ish. Fuel filter was changed at 30k, and 36k, with fleetguard filters. Mopar oil filter and rotella (like that matters).
Other than I don't think the EZ is quite functioning like it should, I have had none of the common symptoms. Runs smooth, no hesitation, and so on. No check engine lights have come on.
Would the EZ be responsible for the VP failure? If so, I guess I bite the bullet and buy a new one out of my own pocket. But if it is unlikely (90%) that the EZ caused this, I need to know what all I need to do beyond taking the EZ off before the trip to the stea... dealer. Should I pluck the AFE also?
Anyone recommend a DC shop in the Denver area that turns a blind eye to certain things? Would warranty cover this if I take it to Cummins to have this take care of?
Any truth to the rumor that you can clear the ECM of fueling and other little driving records by disconnecting the batteries and turning the key to the start position and holding it there for about 30 seconds to a minute?
Sorry for the long winded post, and numerous questions. I did not anticipate on being my own warranty station so soon in the game, with so few mods.
