PICS do not do this justice. I had about 40º total play in the wheel. BION, this was an improvement from after changing the lower ball joints. I was hearing a disinct KLUNK! going down the road. Notice the wonderful bolt the PRevious Owner installed in this!!!!!:--)

I overnightted a Borgeson from Summit racing to swap out Tuesday

Nice bolt, I agree.

By the way, that bolt should be a grade 10. 9 bolt (assuming it's metric that is).

Our company (formerly Torrington, now Timken) supplies steering shafts to OEM and that's the grade normally specified... . WITH a locktite patch on the threads.

It is a safety critical item.

Hopefully the Borgeson will be supplied with that grade. If not, buy one locally.

(By the way, these are NOT our products... . this extremely poor quality shaft actually got us all the 94 and newer steering business. )

Yeah, I just put a Borgeson on a week or so ago, and mine looked pretty nasty. Nice brown muddy grease! I should have put a Borgeson a long time ago.
