I did a search and didn't see any other posts on this.

Some time this afternoon, the horn on my truck started beeping about once a minute. Just a quick beep, as if you had tapped the horn button as lightly as you could and still got it to beep. I tried disconnecting the batteries for 5 minutes and there was no change. The truck starts and runs fine. I also noticed that the fuel, oil pressure, temp and voltage gauges twitch when the horn chirps. The key is out of the ignition when this happens. The horn button on the steering wheel has no response since this began.

I called three dealers and none had a clue and none could get me in for even a quick check with the scan too. The most helpful suggestion that I got was to pull the fuse for the horn until I could get it in.

I pulled the fuse, no more beep, but the gauges still twitch. Other than that, the truck seems OK.

I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow and part of the plan was towing my Jeep from place to place every day, about 1000 miles over the course of the next 9 days. I'm still planning on going, but I've made sure that my cell phone is charged and the Chrysler road side assistance number is handy ;)

I'll stop at home tomorrow night (provided the truck doesn't poop out tomorrow) and check this forum. Hopefully someone has some insight into the problem or possibly even some suggestion about how to fix it.

I would try disconnecting the battery for a half hour or so. It might reset the computer. May or may not work, but free to try. You might lose radio presets and overhead info.

good luck, let us know what he fix is.

I checked it out this morning before I started my trip. The gauges had quit twitching, so I put the horn fuse back in - and the horn button works again. Put 200 miles on it today, no problems.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it if it happens again.
