NW Injectors Installed!

"Excuse me while I whip this out. . " (that's from "Blazing Saddles") I whipped out my handy "Pocket Ref" to do the metric to inches conversion so I could see if one of my tubing crowfoots would work. Here's the conversion formula, for future reference: to convert millimeters to inches, multiply by 0. 03937. 19mm X 0. 03937 = . 7543, which is a little bigger than a 3/4" (. 75) and smaller than a 13/16" (. 8125). The smallest crowfoot I have is 1-1/16, so it looks like my tools won't be of any help. Time to flag down a Snap-On truck.

(Hey Rob, the man from Tacoma, is that Terry Schwab? I've met him before, and I was hoping he would come. If so, I'm looking forward to seeing him again. )

What else can I bring? I have two camping chairs, I'll bring them. How about food/soft drinks/beer/etc. ? I'll be glad to contribute something.
Andy

Andy... it was! He mentioned your name. I will email him directions when I get home tonight. . hmmm... even though I'm at work, I sneak onto the site once in a while.
If you want to bring something, drinks or chips would be fine. I got the burgers, Evan gets the sausage and Mike is bringing the buns. Vaughn is bringing the veggie burgers. I believe John has caught the snap-on man... now how do we convert the torque with offset of the crow's foot? Anybody?

I purchased the required Snap-On crows foot, flare nut wrench ("socket") on Thursday. I checked the 19 mm. -vs- the 3/4" on my own high pressure fuel line fittings (at the head). . the 3/4" fit better, so that's what I purchased. I worked up the torque setting required for this "torque extension" yesterday. The specified torque spec. is 30 ft. lbs. The calculated torque wrench setting for THIS "torque extension" is 28 ft. lbs. REMEMBER: this calculated figure only applies when the extension is directly on centerline with the length of the torque wrench. (NOTE: if the extension were 90 degrees to the centerline of the torque wrench, NO offset torque setting would be required). I will also bring my 3/8" drive Snap-On torque wrench with me. I have also made a complete copy of the installation procedure from my Dodge Service Manual, complete with all applicable torque figures.

I have just about everything needed that Rob didn't already have, ready to bring over this morning HOWEVER, as my new VA CPC increased my already high boost of 25 psi. to 26. 5 psi. (heh, heh, heh), and I felt compelled to use same (Doh!). . I got the "Check Engine" light on my way to work last night. I ended up limping the other half of the way to work. . pretty soon I will have to reverse the direction. Gulp! If I make it home, I'm gonna need some Rammer who has same (that runs), give me a ride to Rob's. I live about four miles from him. Please? I suppose I could always ride my Polaris 6x6 there. Would I be welcome though. . the 6x is not Diesel powered? On second thought, I really need a ride. The way my luck has been running lately, I'd probably get a ticket from the police (who are almost non-existent in our area). And yup, you guessed it, I won't be purchasing a LOTTO ticket today either!

Needless to say, the DD Boost Module will be ordered Monday morning. . NEXT DAY AIR! I was hoping to wait for Ben's (bmann's) boost module to be released for sale however, I'm not waiting another day longer! Now, what is required to reset the stupid "Check Engine" light (and remove the limp mode of operation). Funny thing, right after I received the "Check Engine" fault, I pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the engine and popped the hood of my beloved Ram. Guess what, I checked the engine. . and it was still there. LOL

My Ram runs, lets just hope it still does when the day is over! I guess someone has to give you a ride, or there's no crowfoots for anyone. Send me an email if you still need a ride. I'll be heading out of Renton about 9:30 I guess. bpbowe@yahoo.com How do you look at everyones emails on this site anyways?
