Simple Pleasures

I flew into Denver Internation yesterday and arrived on Concorse C. When I got the the center of the concorse where the trains run, I saw this familiar site suspended from the ceiling. I worked on this airplane many times, and the owner was a customer of ours for about 20 years. Bill Danials of Danials Cablevision was the owner. He also owned the LA Lakers and Speedvision Network. Bill Danials died a few years ago. He was a very generous man and treated his employees and professional contacts very well. It brightened my day to see this.

In 1996, Bill Daniels sponsored a team that piloted this aircraft to a new world record for business jets, flying 23,077 miles around the globe in 49 hours, 29 minutes, and 8 seconds. Now on display in Concourse C at DIA.

Too bad "awesome" is so overworked. How about "breathtaking"?

Just about as pretty as an E-Type Jaguar.

A moment of silence everyone, please.

NICE!!! I have not been into the concourses since before 9/11. They won't allow anyone but passengers and employees beyond security. Too bad, I want to see that. Very cool. If I ever get enough money to continue my flying career and get my ratings, I would not mind being PIC of that or similar type.

Sounds good Jeff, I have about 45 hours sim/real combined. No ratings yet either, working on my private. I need to take out a loan!

Wow! S/N 506, I am amazed that they would retire one that 'new'. At work we have 37 Lear 35's and I can tell you that is one amazing platform!
