Until some other engine propels a dakota at up to 222 mph, I think the Cummins is in a class by itself.

there is no replacement for displacement. The old saying is true, if you have a turbo 4banger and a turbo 6 banger, the 6 will be more powerful, all else being equal. 8 cyls will be even better than that. bigger cubes=bigger power, all else being equal. i don't get how you 4 banger guys can't understand that.

technology is a great thing, it took us from a single piston, to 4 cyl to flathead fords, to HEMI's, to turbo charged 4 bangers that pump out 1500HP. it's SO much easier to get HP from a big engine than a little engine. there is no replacement for displacement!
