name this sensor

looking for a j1850 code i found a sensor that is leaking,but i dont know its name. its close to the valve cover o the driver side and i could see 3 of them.

That is an injector conector not a sensor.

Yep, injector harness. If it is leaking fuel, time to change the VC gasket.

Better hope that it's not leaking fuel as it seals lube oil.....

when i unplugged it ,it was soaked with oil i think. could that trigger a j1850 code?

Yep, its oil not fuel. Darn fingers have a mind of their own.

J1850 is not a valid DTC code, it is an interface specification for transmission of data. P codes will be what define specific engine error codes from the ECU. U codes are body and frame codes.

If you are actually getting a code referencing J1850 it is likely telling you the interface is not functioning correctly.

The ECM monitors the entire ckt that also includes the injectors. Yes oil in the connector could feasibly trip a dtc

I recently changed the rocker box gasket on my truck and those connectors are packed with dielectric grease.
