Nameplate removal question

I am going to remove some tailgate nameplates and would like to know the easiest way to remove the residue. thanks.

googone is one of the safest, C4 would be easier

Get a 3M stripe wheel. They are used to remove the 3M tape. Cost about 30 bucks ,but if your residue is like mine was, it will be worth EVERY cent. Put it in your drill & it strips the residue right off without hurting the paint!
