Several of you have come to the Other Forum to ask for suggestions in naming your pets. Recently it occurred to me that finding a name can be quite simple. Why not name your pet after something you like to eat. You only have to look as far as your pantry for a unique and interesting name that will be easy to remember and easy for your pet to recognize.

Go ahead. . Take a look in your pantry and see what I mean. What's in there that would make a good pet's name?

Twinky

Snickers

Olive Oil

Sugar

Taco

Mustard

Noodle

Ragu

Cocoa

Cinnamon

Pepper

Cream Puff

Mushroom

Sweet Pea

Jello

Oreo

Maxwell

Tang

Koolaid

Bacon

Oscar

DiGiorno

Velveeta

Tombstone

Macaroni

Whiz

Poupon

Cracker

What's in your pantry? :)

My sorely missed, sadly departed Lab-shepherd mix mutt was named Slide Rule. Best dog I ever had.

Current mutt (kids dog) is named Daisy, so no food names currently. But in the past family members have had: Pepper, Pumpkin, Hambone, and Coco... .

Daughters cat was named Lucy. After former Pres. Klinton had problems with Monica Lewinsky (sp), I renamed their cat Lucy Lewinsky. They got a huge hoot out of that... ...

When my son was about 2 1/2 we found a puppy and he wanted to pick a name, the big word he'd learned to correctly pronounce the day before was "Raspberry":) 7 1/2 years later and Raspberry is under the wife's chair right now:)

There was a stray female red chow came up at my work place and some of us at work took her in . It took her long time before she would let(just a few of us) any body pat her. There was a few of the co-workers that would try to run over her on purpose so I took her home . Her new name is ~~~ Red Dog ~~~ and she knows that her name now cause when I scream Red Dog she will come a running.

That's funny, my son brought home a black lab from the bus stop last summer, what's its name gona be? he says, you brought it home you name it I said. Several days later I ask, you name that black dog yet? I can't think of a good name he says. It's been nearly a year now and I think we've got "Blackdog" to go with "Raspberry":)

We have a Masatiff, Rottweiler, pitbull mix... ... ... ... The wife named him Mckinley, after Mt. Mckinley in Alaska. His daddy weighed 250lbs. I was out washing the truck on saturday. I had Mckinley tied up to the light pole by one of those cable leashes about 20 feet long. Heard a bunch of leaves rustling behind me. I looked up from the truck just in time to see him in a dead sprint. My first thought was "oh thats really gonna hurt his neck", then noticed he was after a two dogs that had wondered into the yard. He made it to the end of the leash in a dead sprint, I cringed, but he kept on going... ... broke that leash and ran the two dogs off into the woods.

The Wifes Chihuahua's name is Cookie, AKA sh--bag, ratdog, pi$$bag, and a few other good ones. This is the inside hound.

My mutt is all black, shepherd, husky, wolf mix. Her name is Diamond. She looks just like a wolf, but with button ears. :D

She's the outside dog. Cats and squirrels tremble at the sound of her name. :D
