Awhile back someone posted the part number for a fuse tap from napa that would slide along your existing fuse, then allow you to attach a spade terminal... ... ... . does anyone have that part #?

Jason

Trying to finish gauge install today.

Not sure on part #'s......

But I wouldn't reccomend using them. They go next to the fuse and spread out the fuse holder too much. I use extend-a-circuit from littlefuse. Autozone has them as should most auto parts stores. They take the place of the existing fuse and the give you a new fused tail for whatever you are hooking up.

That is what I used (the one in the pic) and have had ZERO problems with it. I used it to tap in to ingition on power to trigger my painless wiring fuse block. Then I hooked all the extra stuff to the new fues block.

The little brass fuse taps work okay, but not a real long term soloution.

Well i went and bought the extend-a-circuit at autozone... ... did any of you have trouble pressing it in where the existing fuse was? I am afraid to push any harder for fear of breaking the fuse block... ... .

Jason

Hard to push in.......

Thats a good thing though. Don't want them wiggling loose. Seemed a little odd to me at the time but I havent had a problem with them at all.

Boost Port??????

I got the directions from TST for where to tap for the boost port... ... . They say a 3/4" plug just behind the fuel filter housing. Well I pulled mine out and it is 1"... ... . So the supplied 1/8" to 3/4" adapter from TST will not work... ... . This is the correct plug, is it not? It takes a 1/2" drive to get it out? Where did i go wrong?

I was sent the ¾ also.........

I opted for drilling and tapping the intake horn though. But the hole on mine is ¾" pipe thread. It's right in front of the MAP sensor. Make sure you have the right fitting. They sent me a 1/8" to 1/2" and a 1/2" to 3/4" adapters. You might need more than one. Sometimes the size is stamped on the fitting.

On the 02 I'm going to use the fitting from Piers Diesel that takes the place of an intake manifold bolt.

DodgeBoy,

Just file the ends of the extend a circuit until they look like the ends of the fuses. It should slide in easily after that.

Thanks everyone.......

Thanks everyone for your help... ... i just used a hammer and gave it a little love tap... ..... went in fine. Hopefully this post will be dead now. Got all my guages in now..... just have to drill and tap the airhorn.
