Is it just me, or did anybody else think NBC's coverage of Daytona SUCKED compared to FOX?

Not to mention, the very poor comments during the interview with Dale Jr. after he had won. I don't think it was necessary for the commentator to keep badgering Dale about his Dad and "Do you feel like crying now?" in what seemed to be a tasteless effort to get Jr. to choke up or break down. Benny Parsons seemed to be the only one to make appropriate comments. (And I don't have a favorite driver).

I just hope the coverage gets better. See clip

I agree! To make things worse out here on the left coast I didn't even have audio until after half the race was run. I was thrilled to see Jr. win it. By the way I see that your truck is the right color.

Yeah, they definately had some audio troubles. It seemed like half the race the left side of the surround sound was out. Then I think they even switched to MRN radio because of some more troubles.

I sure hopw they get all that figured out for the rest of the season.

I also wondered why that guy kept on asking Jr. about his Dad. Leave the guy alone and let him savor the victory for a while. But that's typical NBC all gloom and doom.

NBC

We thought it was a real bad effort. Numerous times they told one thing while I saw it different. Every time I was right. And the illegable car numbers in the position bar at the top sucked. Oh well, better them than nothing.

Lemme tell y'all what's worse- the MORONS @ Channel 2, the NBC affiliate in Houston, decided to air the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant instead of the race. It was shown @ 10pm on a low-power UHF station which is unwatchable outside the Houston city limits! Thank goodness it will be replayed on TNT Monday night, warts & all. Even so, I prefer to watch in real time without knowing who the winner will be.

P. S. I'm glad Lil' E won and I'm glad he finally decided to shave- he was lookin' pretty scroungy for a while there!

KPRC in Houston can ki$$ my..

I agree with Bill Lins. Houston NASCAR fans got

skrewd big time. At least I was able to listen

to the race via the internet thru MRN radio.

What an ending! It couldn't have been better.

The last 6 laps or so I was going nuts! It was

really cool having Dale JR and Michael Waltrip

finish one-two!

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the coverage. It SUCKED A$$ !!

I can't wait until next year for FOX's coverage to return.

Sucked big time. Adverstised every 9-11 laps. With speeds averaging 180 mph that was way too quick.

Benny Parson's sucked. Most of his comments, the ones that weren't about Dale Jr. , sounded like his comments in the NASCAR 2000 game on my computer - which I can turn off. I muted the TV so that I didn't have to listen the last 20 laps.

I don't want to take anything away from Dale Jr. , but there were other drivers on the track too! And fans for almost everyone of them (except for Jimmy Spencer).

NBC definitely screwed the pooch on that broadcast. It was great to see Dale, Jr. win. If I had been in a coma since February 18 and came out of it and watched that race not knowing what happened I would have sworn Dale, Sr. was in that number 8 car Saturday night. That was a good car they gave him. Some people are saying it was fixed, but any long time observer of NASCAR, watching that race could see that Dale, Jr. could put that car wherever he wanted to put it and make it stick. That was the difference in the race. Just my two cents here, but I think Tony Stewart is getting screwed royally over crossing the apron line. Johnny Benson forced him to go down there or there would have been a big wreck. Bobby Labonte did the same thing on the backstretch and didn't get nailed. What is the difference? Glad you asked. Tony Stewart is vocal and highly opinionated. NASCAR doesn't like boat rockers, especially if they're crossovers from the IRL/CART series.

It can only get better?

Seems like In-Bee-Sea did not remember that the nascar fan is not your run-of-the-mill type fan.

They should have advertised the commercials because thats about all they had.

The final questions were poor taste. Let Dale rest in peace.

Was not happy at all with inbreadsee.

Glad to see little E win. That should get his spirits on the right track.

Love NASCAR, boycot nbc!!!!!!!!

AMEN

I agree with Skydiver, more racin' less commercials. Sure glad to be rid of D. W. though. I miss Ned J. & Buddy B.
