Hi DB!!! Happy Spring!!!

Truck is in storage, but it's just up the road. If you can wait until Saturday I'll grab some fresh pictures. I need to finish this thread and may have some final pictures on an SD card at the house. I'm in Portland today, Loring (up just beyond Caribou) tomorrow and then I'll be home.

I don't think there are any on the phone but I'll look in a bit.

I like my seat, wife is still undecided on hers. It takes a few thousand miles to break them in. I don't have an adequate air supply so she can't take advantage of the lumbars and such. A new upgraded compressor is on the Spring time to do list. Trying to shop one up as I can but have been extremely busy with work this past year.....

No hurry, Mike! I appreciate your help. I get the "being too busy" thing. Taking a few days off myself while my wife is on spring break to decompress.

Mike,

I'm ecstatic to see this thread pick up again. This is something my wife and I are seriously considering, so I am following along with bated breath.

Is this mismatch with these console brackets simply because you have a mega?

I missed this question last fall, I'm sorry!!

Yes, the brackets are fine as is as long as there is no ductwork under the console. I think the Mega Cab is the only model that has it.

Mike, thanks for the pictorial and details. Very very helpful. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the final installation that you could post, would you? I'm to the point where I'm just going to call Suburban and get this going. Hopefully I won't have the console bracket debacle that you lived through.

Thought about going the used seat route, but I'd be at right around the same cost and I'd still be getting used seats. A guy on Ebay has a set of front leather seats for $2850.00 that look like they got cleaned with a fire hose.

Time to start gathering parts...

Found a few in my phone and in the cloud......

One thing does worry me, it looks like it would be conceivable for someone sitting in the rear to get their feet / toes in under the front seat suspension. I have warned my grandkids to keep their feet on the floor mats when we are moving. I don't think it would happen as quickly in a Mega where there is a lot of floorboard, the Quad would be a little tighter.
If one had that concern a toe board or something could be fabbed up to keep feet away from the suspension. Small bumps would never move it far enough but a big dip or frost heave might drive the seat into full cycle...

I can confirm this after our 15000M Rountrip through America. Squeezed some Stuff i store behind the seats, shoes and such things.

Hey Mike, you mentioned the need for a bigger compressor, do you need more volume. I have been looking at this product for my 2013, http://www.trucklungs.com/ you ever seen anything like it.

Hi!! I have never seen anything like that, pretty clever. The price scared me at first, but not so scary now as I think about it. I may add those to the future list....
