Rammin On:

Great pictures!

Looks like you all had a great time at
Jordan Lake. Wes, looks like you got the
gauges in!

Like Pete, I wish I could have made it!
Looks like we missed some good food too!

Hopefully we can make it to the next
one. Maybe I will have my HX-40 and
the 4" exhaust in by then.

See you soon!

Just to say thanks to everyone that helped out this past weekend. The wife and I sure had a great time. Got to meet alot of new folks, more and more new guys show up everytime. Hopefully, we can find time to camp again later this year. We had a good turnout, 10 trucks about 25 people and more dogs than we knew what to do with.

To recap for those not there we had 6 campers there. We just did luck out and find enough spots, the campground was slam full. Rammin On drove down from VA, Outrider and Kimbrey came over from around Charlotte. Dubster made it after a very busy week. We also had several visit for the day on Sat: Stan, Danny, David and Butch.
Saturday started early for some of us, Chris made me get up at 5:00. #ad
I guess he knew what he was doing because he had the pig ready right on schedule. Man was it good, look out Wilbur's I think he can claim the best barbecue on the east coast. We sure ate good, all the food was delicious. Even Ranger Rick couldn't spoil lunch.
After we all got a belly full I drug them all over to hold my hand on my gauge install. A big thanks to all who helped out.
Being that I was so unprepared I think it went very well. After we got a road test in it left some guys wondering if they could wait any longer on the gauges. After cleaning up and a few cold beverages and another visit from Ranger Rick, We settled down to tell big lies, brag about trucks, talk about bombs, tell more big lies and drink a few more adult beverages.
All considered we were very well behaved no drag racing through the park, no pulls in the parking lot no burnout displays (atleast not in the campground). I never even heard anyone complain about those dang stinky, loud rattling things. Oh well, there is always a next time. #ad

I'll see several of you in TN in April, maybe we can find time in May. Although things will probably get busy for the summer for most of use. By the way whose turn is it to take the next meeting?

Later,
Wes

I too would like to thank you for the pics. I think a good time was had by all, except the pig, it did not look HAPPY.

Wes
I don't think I will be going as early as you are for the Tenn. thing. I am be leaving Thurday after my son gets out of school.
What kind of temps did you get pulling your trailer home. Oh I forgot it was only a ten minute drive and the truck didn't get a chance to WARM UP #ad

Just kidding, we really had a good time. My wife and I are talking about going back there sometime latter on.
See Ya

Perfect weekend for a RAM get together! Wes, don't know how you got the weather gods on your side, but it was great. Many thanks to Wes and Chris for handling the food - the pig was fantastic! Nice meeting all the new people, what a nice group with some fantastic trucks. Keith, your pictures are great - thanks.

Might I suggest that of the April 21'st meeting we go back to the Golden Corral in Smithfield. This is one week before the SETDR meeting near Dollywood so we should have good attendance. If anyone else has a suggestion and wants to make arrangements, that would be great to.

Again, thanks for the great time. Maybe next campout Mo and I will have the trailer de-winterized and can stay the entire weekend.

Guys,
Sorry it took so long to post the pix. It's been hell week at work. Look for em at Pig Pickin Pix.

Wes, how's the gauge working out? If I'd have had my head on strait, I'd have gone ahead and drilled, tapped and plugged mine while you had everything there. I've got a pot load of overtime coming up and Told Mama the gauges are coming sooner than later. I think I've got a tap at home, but I'll have to look. I may see if I can borrow your "expertise".

Chris, can you email me your home address? I need to send Leslie something for looking after Cole. She probably saved him from a beating and me from at trip to jail. How can you put a price on that? Great job on the pig. Everyone at home enjoyed the "doggy bag" I brought back. Well, everyone but the dogs.

Keith, thanks for the pix and for making the trip down. Not to mention the "hand holding" on drilling the manifold. Keep me posted on the Richmond goings on. I'd like to meet your group sometime.

Anyone have any thoughts on Stan's plan to meet the weekend before the TN trip? I'm up for it since I can't make it to the mountains.

That's it for now. Keep in touch.

Nice pictures David thanks for sharing them.

Any of you guys are more than welcome to use any of the tools that I have gathered to do the gauge install. Just keep in mind the SPA probe is 1/8", most of the others are 1/4". If you need the 1/4" hole I have a couple of big 1/2" drill motors if you need them. I'd be more than happy to help any of you with any of your toys. But after seeing my wrench turning abilities, I'm sure you could all do better yourselves.

I enjoyed working on the truck, I think at some point in the future we need to schedule a "work day".

I don't plan on making the trip to Smithfield, too much going on. I'll see a couple of you in TN, catch the rest of you the next time.
