Thanks, TDR Staff

Omaha, something to do.

Colorado Wrench Day/Expo Day??

OK Gang;

Here is the chance for North & South Dakota, Minnesota, Manitoba, and other area diesel heads to show their stuff.

Mike has opened his shop on Saturday September 20th for a day of DynoJet dyno fun.

Normal cost to ride the rollers is $50 for setup and first run including rpm pickup for hp and torque curves. Additional runs on the same hookup are usually $25 each.

TDR handles JJW-ND, SMorneau and JohnE (me) are planning to ride the rollers.

Mike is planning to test a SBC twin disc at the Truck and Tractor Pulls on the 6th. Maybe he will ride the rollers again.

If you need some service work on the Cummins, please contact Mike ahead of Saturday.

Any other questions can go to me.

As of now I can make it.

Wanna get the gov springs in.

If time adjust timing. It'll get checked one of these years?

Would love to go but wow that's a heck of a drive for me. 7hrs/330 miles. I thought it was bad enough to go to Yankton, SD 4hrs/216 miles. May be interested pending upon if we are in the field, but i'm still leary about the drive. Would be really interesting to see what's going on. My truck isn't very stout though. I've got endless things for it on my wish list though i. e. gauges, KDP tab, GSK, E-Brake, Stacks.....

Trevor;

Freeway most of the trip. 300 miles averaging 75 mph is 4 hours. Figure another hour for side roads & you're here.

Mike is a vendor, repair shop, and pretty savy diesel head.

JJW-ND, SMorneau & I are all seasoned BOMBERs.

Jeff knows his way around a diesel but has mostly resisted the BOMBing bug. It does look that we will be doing his governor springs that weekend.

Jeff;

I don't have a timing kit. Maybe at the next Twin Cities event if ChillyDog will bring his set we can adjust things.

I'm planning on making it out there. I figure I'll drive my 1st gen out this time to see if it makes any kind of respectable power numbers. I haven't done anything new to the dually other then putting more miles on it dragging stuff around.

Still looking at a 11 /12ish start time?

Later,

Wayne

Good question Wayne.

I forgot to mention the fun starts around 10:00 AM and goes until the smoke don't blow or the food is gone.

Looks like I'll Just get the lift pump checked out. I fixed the preheater leak. The U joint will get fixed before I drive up.

Will have timing checked if were not to busy?

Gov springs gotta get em in too.

Head count????

As the weekend approaches, I could use your help in chiming in for a head count.

We are going to do pizzas and resonable headcount will help keep us well fed but not busting at the seems.

If you know of non TDR attendees count them also.

I will be attending the dyno day this weekend, so you can add me to your headcount. I may even run my pickup on the dyno, but i'm not sure yet. See you guys this weekend.

Shawn

If your looking for a head count. It'll be me and one other, I'll scare up someone to come with.

I will also try to get the DRB, no promises though.

Later,

Wayne

I should make it there, too..... by at least 10:00

I forgot to add dyno details.

A dyno ride is normally $50 for hookup and first runs. This includes tach pickup for full hp AND torque curves. Additional runs are $25 if on the same hookup.

I ordered a Turbo-Master last week and it was in today's mail. I won't install it until after Saturday, so if anyone is curious about them, I'll have it in hand.

Went out and did a little tuning tonight on the Cummins. Butt-o-meter tells me injectors are next.

Need new tires for winter first.

I'm not going to be able to make it on Sat. Had a death in the family and the funeral is Sat.

I guess I'll have to wait 'til the next get together to see what the little 1st genny can put down.

Later,

Wayne

Sorry to hear the news Wayne.

Let us know when is a good time. Probably try to have one last hurrah before Uncle Mike departs for Alaska this winter.

-John

See you all there!

Still a go here. Will check this for a final head count sometime Friday PM.

Our summer drought and high heat made for some nice hot peppers (read habaneros). Salsa will be very warm.

Did get the stacks on. I hope Mikes big fan works.

Will catch you next time around Wayne!

Good to hear that everything's still a go, you can add one more to the headcount, I know of one, maybe two more non tdr guys that'll be coming to the meeting.

I'm praying for bad weather because if its decent I am going to be cutting down some pine trees. I never thought about that when I planted them. If it rains I be seeing you in Northwood. Jerry sorry I can't be definite for your count.

Please Rain, Please Rain, Please Rain... .

I'll be up Friday. Gonna stop at Mike's 1st. Then will be staying in Grand Forks.

I have scheduled some work to be done on the truck saturday. Looks like it will be a cool one up there.

See you all there!

Have pizzas, pop, fresh salsa and chips.

Truck is clean and ready to run.

Will be there 9-10am
