Not trying to start a magnet/ no magnet war, but I ordered some serious magnets from wondermagnet.com, just stuck them on all my drain plugs and oil filter... . these suckers are STRONG!!! I laughed for about a half hour just trying to get them apart, even if they don't work, it was worth the entertainment... also drove for about an hour today, highway, over railroad tracks etc. these things didn't budge... not affiliated with them in any way, just posting info.

I did exactly the same thing with magnets from the same outfit about five years ago, magnets haven't budged. Have found the magnet on the engine oil drain plug to be worthless, never anything on it.

Those magnets are a cheap gift for kids that really entertains them.

With all those ultra-strong magnets aligning the molecules correctly in those critical fluids, you must have notice a mileage increase and picked up a few HP to boot, right? ;)

mileage increase

Especially the 65 pound one I have on my front bumper. Once I get within 40 feet of a semi I can turn off the engine and coast behind him.

Re: mileage increase

Wow, they even sell magnets that are attracted to Aluminum?

:D

Thank you for the info;

Hi MConstable; A great idea with the magnets!!

I looked up the site and found it most interesting !! When I was into bikes, I worked at a place where I had access to a few small magnets. Each time I bought a new bike or car, I would drill a hole in the drain plugs of the engine and transmission and cement magnets into the holes. Especially for the first few oil changes, it was quite interesting to see just how many metal filings had gathered on the magnets. I have never lost an engine or transmission (knock on wood) !! Funny thing, I never installed a magnet on the diff'ls and broke 2 of those.

Anyway, I am about to completely Amsoil my Ram 2500, I visited the link you mentioned and ordered an assortment of round magnets from Forcefield, I'll be magnetizing my truck when I make the fluid changes.

Thanks again. . Dick S.

Well, I heard NASA has created magnets that attracted to various plastics, especially the clear ones. Only in America! :D Dan

KDP fix?

I use the same magnets on my oil pan as well. I was wondering if maybe they could be used as an ultra simple KDP insurance policy. Never having been inside the case I don't know but I am curious. Anyone know where to place a magnet for this purpose?
