Help.....

I need to get a new boost gauge that reads at least 40 psi. What gauges are available in this category? Currently I have VDO gauges installed but the boost gauge is only a 30 psi model and I can wrap it to the stop:eek:

Thanks,

Doug S.

JetPilot,

I also had VDO guages when I needed more then the 30# guage. I bought two Autometer 60# guages that match the VDO pyro pretty well. Since I went to a digital Blue Chip FMS, I no longer need an analog and would sell or trade one of the 60# guages. Let me know if you are interested. :) When I contacted VDO this summer, they weren't interested in marketing a higher capacity guage.

Banks sells 40 psi gauges, in fact it is all they offer. IMO 60# is too much as you will mostly be using the lower end of the scale.

If he changes turbos hes got enough fuel to go well over 40lbs :D I think 0 to 50 psi is a bit better suited for gauges in the higher hp trucks.

For the Westach users, check Geno's catalog. They have the Westach combo boost/EGT gauges available in standard (34 PSIG) and BOMBed (50?? PSIG - don't have the catalog with me at work) versions.

I went with an ISSPRO 0 - 50 # boost gauge. If I remember correctly, I got it from Diesel Injection Service for $38 about 6 months ago.
