Just had my engine replace under warranty with a reman long block, and it no longer has an engine serial #. Need to look up parts to reseal my exhaust manifold. Can someone help me out.

Thanks Adam

There should be references to both the original engine serial number and the replacement long block serial numbers on the dealers work order.

We have to document that on any warranty parts that have a serial number such as engines, transmissions, and rear axle components.

You should ask for a copy, if they don't want to do so because it would reveal the pricing then ask that a non-priced copy be printed for you.

You may need some or all of that info later on in the trucks life.

If you can't find the serial number using the suggestions made here then use mine for the exhaust components.

Just don't use it for the turbo itself.

Anything else on the exhaust will be the same such as manifold gaskets, turbo mounting gasket, drain tube, etc.

Engine Serial Number 57451227

CPL 8345

If you want I can look the stuff up for you and give you the current part numbers, it may be tomorrow before I can get it done as I am flying out to New Mexico this afternoon. I will have some dead time tomorrow afternoon and could do it then. I will have my laptop on me and can VPN into my dealership from anywhere.

Let me know.

Mike. :)
