My first cross country trip

First tow (long)..comments welcome

My brother called to see if I could tow his recently purchased boat from Georgia to Rhode Island, or any where North East in the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately I can't get away for this trip during this time:rolleyes: . Any one in TDR land interested, headed this way etc..... Or could you put me in contact with a hauler? PM or respond here for details. Thanks guys, Jim G. :)

is he the one that bought that 27' sail boat in Atlanta I was looking at on Ebay? It just sold a couple days ago.

No sailboat,TowPro and not off E-bay as far as I know. It's about 22 foot sport/fishing power boat. Around #4000, so an easy tow for some one headed north on I-95.

Maybe...

By when would it need to be hauled? How much would it be paying? And, give me a close to & from location.

I spent a couple months in South Korea. Before I left I, I took my truck down to GA. and stored it at my parents' house (long story). I'm moving to AL. (from MI. ) pretty soon, and will only just have to pick up my truck. If its not too far from my parents' house to the location in GA. , I wouldn't mind making a run up there for a little extra pocket money. Sorry, can't do it for free though, not really going that way.

P. S. I've hauled my 33', 9,500# 5'er all over the country. A 4,000 lb. 22' boat is no problem. I will be checking the lug nut torque frequently on something I'm towing that I'm not familiar with too. So no worries on safety.

JyRO, the boat is in Colombus(?) Ga. Don't have an exact time schedule but he wants it up here in the next 2 weeks or so. Certainly willing to pay to have it hauled and at least shorten the 2 day round trip from R. I. I will PM any other details if your interested, but need to get them from the buyer! Thanks, JimG.
