fortunate1 are you sure I couldn't talk you out of your cat for a little $? Or CEdwards if you wan to take yours out and sell it?



The 2ft long thing that looks like a cone getting smaller at the rear is the cat. All you have to do is take it out and fill in the space with something. That is what was done with mine and it runs great but alas Colorado has to have checks. With any luck they will get rid of them in the next year or two in favor of just doing random smog tests on the side of the road. They've been talking about it.



Doug you don't have a cat on a 99. I don't know the exact details but basically the improvements on the 24Valvers made it so they were under emission standards without the cat and/or it didn't do much anyway.

Anyone who wants to defray the cost of an aftermarket exhaust system, is welcome to my Catalytic converter. I've got a '95.
