hey guys. i'm at 69. 5kmi and need a dealer recommendation in the san francisco bay area. i'm not comfortable with redwood city dodge as they didn't do too well when i took the truck in for the pcm/crank position sensor problem i had.

i want the whole truck gone through with a fer real fuel pressure check done.

then as soon as the economic situation is a little better i can start some bombing... . starting with some gauges and that awesome white faced dash!!

thanks in advance guys

FYI:

I wanted my dealer to do a fuel pressure check just so I knew where I was at as my warranty is almost up too. They told me that they could not do this under warranty and get paid by Dodge for it. Unless the customer is complaining (hint, hint) of symptoms, otherwise there is no basis for doing the customer requested work. -frank

It goes further than fuel pressure. The dealer won't do any work under warranty unless you complain of a problem and they can duplicate it. Best do the check up yourself then tell them what's wrong.

let me clarify

sorry, guys. i've got to clarify my question. i am willing to PAY a dodge dealer or any reputable KNOWLEDGEABLE mechanic to go through my truck in case there is a hint of something going south. but i really want to know what the lift and injection pumps are doing. i figure if i take it to a dealer i can also have them replace what i think is a bad abs sensor.

thanks again and sorry for the mix up.

I'm in the north bay and prefer to take my truck to esposti dodge in cloverdale. They deal with hundreds of the cummins trucks in this area and are good ol boys.

They have taken pretty good care of me.

I was going to mention Esposti but I see firemanemt has beat me to it. They have done right by me as well - they were the ones that replaced my 6spd when Santa Rosa Dodge was trying to tell me that there haven't been any hard shifting complaints... .

Esposti is ~30 mins north of Santa Rosa. It's a long drive for you but they have treated me right.

north of santa rosa, huh?

oy vey. i've gotta stop driving now otherwise i'll never make it there without going over 70k.

sad situation that there aren't any worthwhile dodge/cummins in my area... . oh, well... .

seeing as your paying... . suggest you run over to Cummins West in S. L. and have them do the once over... then if you have an issue. . head to the dealer of your choice

Cummins West

Good evaluation on RC Dodge, thumbs down on that one. Cummins is only going to be interested in engine related items. But for that purpose you can't beat them.

Anybody have any luck with Serramonte Dodge?

anyone.....anyone???

so do you all mean to tell me that there are no dealers we trust in the bay area?

and the moderators don't want us to call them stealers?

guess i'll call esposito up past santa rosa.....

Capitol Dodge San Jose

At least give a call to Capitol Dodge on Capitol Blvd. in SJ. Mike Crossely has had good luck with those folks. Blair goes to their parts department regularly. And they have two techs that own CTD's. Worth a shot.

thanks hvac

thanks, nowel, i new you'd come through. i'll give them a call today.

cummins west has yet to return my call. i'll call them again today as well.
