Need a Dually!

Well did a stupid thing and went to pa and picked up my new 28 ft enclosed trailer with my friends 2008 cummins6. 7 4x4 singlecab DRW. what a difference pulling a trailer with a dually! would love to convert my 93 srw 350 to dual wheels or do you guys suggest i upgrade to a newer year? also i let wife drive truck with nothing behind And she loved it! THANKS GUYS

I've got BFG 285/75-16 tires on Weld Racing 16x10 wheels on the rear of my '91. The load capacity and close to the lateral stability of duals without the hassle. Now, that's a chassis cab which has the same 7500lb rear axle as the DRW truck.
With a P/U bed you get a 5700 or 6200lb rear axle. You can still get the tire capacity and stability of the large tire with those, just can't carry as much.

Towing with a third gen is light years ahead of a first gen to start with. You may be wanting more than duals will give you.

bigger trailer got me into this now,picked it up in Dec08 with 20k on it for $35,000 Canadian and shipped to Canada from Wash/Nevada---very clean . The 01 in my sig is now a toy/light hauler(quads/etc)and is just for me as the MRS cannot/will not touch or row a 6erOo. Oo. Oo. DW

These are my 2 rides at my vacation lot in Gull Lake, Alberta side by side ,the 07 will eventually haul the trailer(36ft Titanium) in the pic one day. Also me working away on a patio cover to enjoy the deck a little more.

JLIGHT let me know if you are going to convert yours to a Dually. I just picked up a 92' D350 dually. I will be parting out all but the motor,trans, intercooler and fuel pedal.

JLight I will take pics tomorrow, I just got back with the truck from GA about an hr ago and it is too dark for pics. It is 2wd. Structurally the body is really pretty good. The paint is not. Typical 90's Dodge flaking paint syndrom. It is a rust free GA truck. Box is pretty good, Not perfect. Ill get in touch with you tomorrow.

Thanks ewalshak! Very interested in rear, rims and box. Would like newer truck but my heart and no payments on my truck is with the first gen!. I have a friend that is a hell of a body man so he can fix box. If not want to put flatbed on it.
