44' Vintage tripple axle vs Short-Box Cummins...Which Hitch?

No trailer tow package - wiring

I got a kick out of the fact it has 3, 30amp cables! "Hi, Is this KOA? I want to reserve 3 campsides with 30 amp service, one on each side so of me so I can plug in my camper!"

Now which mountain passes are you going ot pull this animal over?

Would you have to have special licenses or waivers or permissions to take it on the road?

WHEW,

Bob Weis

A RV friend of ours has a Teaton that weighs 28k and has the MDT to haul it with. Something about going over 26k I think, licenses?

Yea... ... .

The sticker says it all.

MDT only.....

Those are some well built campers. Regardless of the length, the narrow slides make it feel small inside. I have been inside and looked carefully at one of these before our last Royals International... ... ... No thank you..... Not to mention... . There are not many parks that will accept something this long. And the way most the parks are designed... ... . Good luck backing it in... .

I think it would be kind of cool motoring down the road with that behind my dually. It would definately catch some attention. :-{}

Teton is a good RV, but 45'?, 4 axels?, 3 AC's? Come on, this is getting a little ridicules. You would need a much bigger truck then we have to pull it.

Glad to see this started some conversation.

This was posed on a rv board and another member said they had seen a similar rig. It had a pin weight of 6k lbs UNLOADED.

With 4 axles the tire scrub has to be terrible.

You would need a modifed class 8 truck to be really safe... .

I think the key's right here:

This 45' Trailer was rented to the Movie Industry by Movie Movers Inc. Trailer designator MO-452

The Trailer was custom built by Teton, not a standard floorplan.

This thing was never designed to be an RV or to use RV park hookups.
