I have a 05 2500 Ram Cummins. ( see sig)8500 miles now. Anyway I have been watching my fuel milage drop. When new it was running about 15 city and 18-20 highway. Filled up yesterday and it came out to 10. 34333 mpg. All in town / well get on highway to goto work and home but its like 3-5 miles each way. I just installed the TST thinking it may help but I am thinking the opposite now( I have had it set on 1/0 and 1/1). I have taken the truck in 4 times and they say everything is normal. I know they hooked up the DBR to it cause they asked if the ECM had been reprogrammed. (Tri befor you buy... . LOL). So my question is what should I be looking for?

Carboned-up injectors. Needs hard running for a half hour or more, towing prefferable.

3-5 miles? Your engine never warms up. Change your oil often, moisture condenses inside oil and turns to acid. Getting it up to temperature takes about 10 miles. That's when water starts to boil out of the oil.

On a full tank of fuel try 2 bottles of sea foam fuel additive, you'll be amazed at how well it will run afterwards. Try running some type of additive such as power services, howes, etc. etc. on every tank, it helps keep injectors clean longer.
