Hello everyone.....

Been a long time since I have visited the TDR. I have a questions or 2 and I apoligize now if they have been covered already. I cant search so I thought i woul dthrow them out here.

1, I would like to upgrade the banjo bolts and and maybe the fuel line if needed. I remember there was an ad in the TDR for a kit. As I have loaned my TDR out, I cant see the ad. Any suggestiuons here?

2, Fuel pressure? I would like to check the pressure but dont want to add a guage in truck. I figure I will just test pressure at every oil change and that will keep me up to date. What is the best way to do this?

3, My truck is a 4x4 and I have the leveling kit installed. Ever since the installation the truck has pulled to the right and the front right tire is wear badly. Anyone had the same problem? And reccomendations here?

4, Any events going on? Are the listed somewhere so I can check?

Sorry for the long post full of questinos..... :)

Thanks for all advice and will be hanging out here a bit more to keep upto date.

No help from me...just another question

Sorry, no answers to your questions, just a question of my own.

Do you have any pictures of your truck? What you've done with the 2-1/2" skyjacker is what I'm looking at doing to a 2000/2001 and I can't find any pics of the 2-1/2" lift... only the 4" and larger.

Also, what tires are you running on it, and are they anywhere near rubbing?

Finally, have you put yours on a dyno with the BOMBing you've listed? Just curious, cause it's kinda close to what I want to do, except DDII's and comp.

Thanks for any help you can give. Josh.

Troy...

Here is the page for the banjo bolts from Geno's:

By the way... I think your fooling yourself if you think that just checking the fuel pressure at oil changes is going to cover you... These lift pumps have a habit of going out in a hurry, and when it does, it may just cost you a little time, or may mean replacing the lift pump and the injector pump... Anyone who tows should have an EGT and fuel pressure gauge at the bare minimum... . Just my $. 02... ;)

Troy, here's my take...

1) Geno's, as posted above.

2) A temporary FP gauge is better than none at all. You will be better off with a fulltime install as the pump may be great one day and slowly dying the next. You will see a loss of psi's first, in my short experience, followed by erratic readings that jump from good psi's to low psi's while under throttle. Eventually the pump will die and may leave you stranded. With a fulltime FP gauge, you will have a heads up and be able to correct the problem before you are stranded.

3) I don't have a leveling kit yet, nor any pull to the right or left, but my front right tire is also badly worn on the outer tread. I didn't bother to rotate the tires (shame on me) but the remaining 5 are still looking great. I've been told by one shop that my canter (sp?) maybe off. I plan on taking the truck to a good alignment shop in the near future for a check.

Hope this helps !!!

If you don't want to install pernament fuel pressure gauges in your truck Brair Hopper has a very nice test kit that all you do it hook it up to the test ports and stick the gauge end to your windshield to check your pressures.

I installed the leveling kit on mine. The truck was wandering all over the place anyway and pulled to the right. I had the kit from Lukes-Link installed and that stopped the pulling and tightened up the steering a whole lot. There is still some play in the steering wheel and I read a thread yesterday about that and will try to make the necessary adjustments this weekend.
