Here's the deal. My son is serving over seas and his family is in Layton. My daughter in law is driving a Dodge Caravan that is several years old, 136k miles. When you apply the brakes you can hear a vacuum like sound from the area of the brake pedal and the brake light illuminates. After releasing the brake and after driving a little way the light goes out until the brakes are applied again. I think it may be something as simple as a small vacuum leak, but it could be the brake booster/master cylinder. I'm looking for a recommendation of a reliable shop in the area that won't rip off a clueless woman (she was told by one mechanic that it was no big thing, just something old Dodges do). If there is a good Dodge service dept around there I think that might be best in this instance. Any help is appreciated.
