Hi all.

Now, I know that many of you will either flip out or ask why, but trust that I have my reasons. :{

I really need to put a muffler on this truck (1999 2500 4X4 Sport Short Bed). The previous owner had a 4” exhaust installed, sans catalytic converter or muffler. I don’t want to put on another catalytic converter , but would like to get suggestions for a good hi flow muffler that will quite this thing down a little.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Look into some of these:

Donaldson M090362 - Resonator - 4" inlet and outlet - body is 9" long and 10" in diameter - no dB listing - takes the rough edges off, but not as a quiet as a full fledged muffler.

Donaldson M090594 - Muffler - 4" inlet and outlet - body is 9" in diameter, overall length is 26. 5" - 10 to 15 dB attenuation - quieter than a resonator, but not as quiet as the M100464

Donaldson M100464 - Muffler - 4" inlet and outlet - body is 10" in diameter and 51" overall length - 25 to 35 dB attenuation - guaranteed to quiet things down for you.

Personally, I'd go with the resonator or the middle choice. The last one would just be too quiet for me. Currently running a resonator on mine, no muffler - love the way it sounds!
