2002 Durango brake bleeding

Yamaha motorcycle's!

I've got a 1990 Bronco that has a 302 EFI with a bent rod. I would like to put a 351 in it. Do I have to do anything besides the engine swap?(ie computer etc) Does any company take a 302 as a core for a 351 block? Where is a good place to buy a good engine? A good used one is as perferable as a crate engine. I mostly just want to get this heap running for camping this summer.

Get a 351 Windsor. The only difference between them, is the intake, it is 1" wider. Everything will bolt up, you will need to add an inch in the Y-pipe if you don't have duals. You may have to change the module, not sure.

Too bad...........

Too bad you can't just drop a 300I6 in there. Guaranteed to have all the torque you'd ever need, plenty of horsepower, and use less fuel than the 302 or 351. I always wondered why Bronco wasn't offered with the toughest engine made by Ford. I loved my 300, it was virtually indestructable. Heck, it could be had in one ton duallys. Maybe you should look into this I think it is a direct bolt in.

Just a thought.

the exhaust will have to be modified, obviously need a different oil pan, I believe those trucks are speed density. If so, it SHOULD adapt alright if you keep the cam and intake stock.

if it were me, I'd just freshen up the 302 and put a pair of cheap heads on it... maybe some GT40P heads or something. You could go a little nicer and get some nice gains, but for a couple hundred bucks, the P's are a nice upgrade over the E7's

A friend had a early 80's Bronco with the 300 I-6 and a manual transmission. I would have loved to have had that one!

I would "freshen up" the 302 also. The 351 is a gas hog (even more than the 302!) and does not have much more power to show for it.

How did your engine bend a rod? That seems unusual if the rest of the engine is still sound?

I'd be curious to know what you find for prices on used engines. I have a 5. 8 and 5 speed that I need to sell, but don't really know what they are worth.

The firing order is different on the 351 as is the ecm, went through that when we put one in a mustang. keep the 302 it is just as good as the 351. I have 3-302 motors that I am going to be getting rid of.

A leaking head gasket hydro locked a valve as near as I can figure. I thought about a 300-6 but I mostly want to prep it to sell. I think around here I can get a few more dollars for a bronco with a 351.
