Drivers side hub bearing is chattering, not moving freely, and has some play in it. Noticed it right after I replaced my brake pads. Couple questions... Should I replace both sides, or just the faulty one? The cheapest I could find was Pep Boys for $215 drivers side, $318 passengers side. Any place cheaper? I start Spring semester of college on Wednesday, and I need a vehicle to drive, would driving it this way hurt anything?

Thanks, Buck

I ran mine until the bearings screamed for mecy:-laf Not that I would recomend that. I am swapping it over to the old style of hub with the lock-outs. Does your truck have 4 wheel ABS? If not why the differance in price between the two sides? The last one I did was aobut 200. I have RWAL only. I got them at Auto Value, and unless you have a way to do it at school, I would say do it before.

Its 4 wheel ABS. After getting the wheel off and doing some investigating, its hard to tell if its the hub or the axle. There is movement in the hub, but the noise seems to be coming from the axle tube. Any suggestions?

Turns out that its not ABS in front, just the rear. Got it all sqaured away tonight, only replaced the faulty one. Kragen had one in stock for $189.
