Archived Need a nv5600!

I've got a 02 25004x4 w/ the nv5600 6 speed, and I have problems! I took it to the dealer to have the synchros replaced along w/ 3&4th gear. Well, come to find out they can't get one of the shafts apart. They tell me they broke the tool they were using trying. Now they want to replace the WHOLE transmission! The catch is that there aren't any new ones to be had. Gee, if only one person from Dodge would read this site they would've known that months ago! Anyhow, now they are looking for reman/overhauled units. My question is who do you folks recommend? Warranty is an issue, and so is location. I am in southwest Ohio. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Seen on here a couple of threads were guys were finding remand transmission on Ebay. Search Ebay for 5600 and go from there. Good luck Oo.

I spoke briefly to the folks at drivetrain.com(shep) and was very pleasant to talk with. I just wish there was a shop close to Cincinnati. Still haven't heard anybody chime in about Jasper products. Any clues?

Call Standard Transmission in Fort Worth, or Blumenthals in Oklahoma City. Both have full page ads in the TDR.
