Yea, I use to play a lot of CD's but now it satellite radio and my own thumb drives with music, I really don't need a CD player. I will check into your suggestion, thank you

The Kenwood I used (although it had a CD player which you said you didn't want) had 2 usb inputs in the back. I mounted a dual usb plug down below and ran usb connectors from there to the head unit. Allows me to charge my phone as well as play usb sticks. I can also do Apple Car Play with my work iPhone. See pic. The thing currently connected allows me to use Android Auto wirelessly (the head unit I bought was wired AA/ACP only).

I use my SiriusXM about 99% of the time, but sometimes the need to play one of my old CDs just hits right, and having the CD player gives me that option.

Looks GREAT !! I may have to explore that option as well, thanks for the picks

I ripped all my CDs years ago and discarded the plastic afterwards.
So much easier to have everything on the phone and have it always on hand, no matter where I want to listen to it.

I ripped my CD and vinyl to thumb drives years ago. Makes it nicer to carry around, and can make my own playlists for travel. Take the time and rip to a higher rate to account for better quality. Then you can rip a stick to standard MP3 for space if needed. I have several SSD drives with my music collection. Sun, heat and time will destroy CD's!

I haven't heard you guys mention anything about speakers, can I use my OEM Infinity speakers with any new radio ? My speakers still sound great plus I don't play my music so load a car in the 4th lane over can hear me. LOL

My OEM speakers worked fine. The only issue I had was I lost the fader (front to back) ability. IIRC (and I may be mistaken) it had something to do with the factory amp. I had a new amp installed and got talked into new speakers at the same time. But the OEM ones seemed to do just fine.
