Hiding brake controller in asytray

I need a class 4 hitch that will fit under a roll pan. I had to remove the rear bumper and hitch from my truck to fit it in the garage. Now I need a class 4 hitch, that doesn't stick out beyond the rear of the truck. Any sources or suggestions?

Thanks,

Pat

if it were me... i would tear the damn garage down and build a much bigger one!! didnt you know that garages are to be built around an automobile??:p

I would love to build the garage bigger. Chaps my butt that my truck wouldn't fit. The house is new so tearin' down the garage isn't an option. I live on Padre Island so if the trucks stays outside, by the time my tour is up here, it would be a rust bucket. Hence my search for a recessed hitch as I still need to haul our enclosed dirt bike trailer around... Anybody got any idea? I emailed Draw Tite and they too have blown me off...

Rick,

So if you were to draw an imaginary line from the tailgate in the closed position, to the ground, would that line hit the hitch at all? A class V hitch would be perfect.

I see your in Klamath Falls, I grew up in Bend. I sure do miss Oregon, although today the weather was nice 80 degress, I still like winter.

Thanks,

Pat

Pat,

If I draw an imaginary line down the outside of the closed tailgate the tube of the hitch is in front of the line. Sounds like what you need. It is a one piece hitch not a 3 piece like most. If I can find the part # tomorrow I'll let you know. I'm at a friends house in cresent today & it was nice here to. Got all the way up to 33 degrees!!!Perfect weather for cutting wood. Rick

Rick,

If ya get a part number and maybe a phone number if there is one on it, that would be great. Thanks.

I remember my dad and his buddy draggin' me and my twin brother out to cut wood at 5am. They had 2 trucks and 2 chainsaws. Needless to say they ran the trucks and chainsaws all day while my brother and I loaded both trucks. And they weren't regular loads either. Their rule was you can't see out the back window of the truck and you have to lose at least 20 pieces of wood out of each truck before you hit Hwy 97. Then and only then would it be a successful day. My parents sold their house in Bend a few years ago and I'll bet ya there was 10 cords of wood sitting out there with my brother's and my sweat all over it. My dad's moto was, "You can never have enough wood". Then he would throw a quote out of the farmers almanac at us like "Suppose to be the winter of the century". Apparently our family's survival through the "Winter of the Century" depended on my brother and my ability to carry as much wood as our 12 year old bodies could carry. Fond memories we still laugh over...

Have you considered finding a welder and have one made?

How's Texas?

"the booming metropolis of Lincoln, CA. )

Hi Gary,

Nice to hear from ya. The garage in this new house is smaller than the one in Lincoln which is why I have to go through all this. How is the big metropolis of Lincoln? My wife wants to find out what the commute through Lincoln is like these days? Have they finished all the new homes across from Safeway yet? It is gonna be a little cramped when it all gets finished but it is still a nice area to live in, we miss it. How come you took your bull balls off your signature line, that was one way for sure I could always spot your truck...
