not that it ever rains in south texas, but when i jump into the ride after walking across damp pavement my boot slips off the clutch pedal like greased butter, and i wear rubber soled anti slip work boots. might have to start flipping boogers on it get some traction. the sticky kind. any suggestions?

You can find that no-skid tape at Home Depot or such. Ya' know, the heavy sandpaper with the weapons-grade adhesive on back. Comes in several sizes. And it would blend right in on that black pedal.

I'm in the same boat as Nick. This morning I replied to this, but that's been lost.

As I recall, I said something about Dodge might have used teflon-coated pedals, because I too have slippery pedal syndrome.

Someone had posted that they used some fine-grit sand paper... when it wears out, just replace the paper. Of course, that might also wear out the soles of your shoes!

You: "I need a sheet of perforated grip steel"

Home Depot employee: #ad

(This was just a joke... no offense to any Home Depot employees out there!:) )

i aquired that piece in a creative way... similar metal can be purchased online in the usa [or canada, but duty will kill us ] from http://www.mcnichols.com/. i am not affilaiated with them, nor have i dealt with them, but some over on the ford-diesel forums have used them and had no complaints that i can remember...

If anyone wants to make some expanded metal pads that can go on the pedals, I'd be interested. I work in a fatty acid refinery and sometimes have fat all over the bottom of my shoes when I leave work. The pedals are just like someone coated them with a grease gun. Have to be very careful with the clutch!
