Need a turbo for an '01 Ford Powerstroke

Title says it all. Somehow the fram air filter element came appart and the turbo sucked in a bunch of junk. Still works, but it won't spool at low rpms. Anybody know where the best place to pick up a stock turbo for a ford?

actually, I think it might be able to be rebuilt. Anybody know anything about them?

are you certain the turbo is the problem?

Make sure the intercooler didn't get plugged with the filter element. DW

I'd have to look again, but I don't recal seeing an intercooler on it. Do the 01 fords even have them?

The 01 fords definately have intercoolers, started in 99', pre-99s do not have them. Should be fairly easy to find a used one or rebuild yours.

Contact these guys http://www.gpopshop.com/ for a rebuild. They did the turbo on my John Deere and did a heck of a job. Real quick turn around and affordable as well.
