JUST NEED IT TO CLEAR CODES - MAYBE SOMEONE WILL HAVE ONE THATS VIN LOCKED OR ONE THAT MESSED UP - JUST LOOKING FOR ONE TO CLEAR CODES - LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ONE - THANKS.

P. S. IF I COULD AFFORD THE 600. 00 I WOULD BUY A BRAND NEW ONE - FUNDS ARE TIGHT RIGHT NOW - WELL I HAVE WIFE THAT WATCHES EVERYTHING. Oo.

The chainstore autoparts have them for under a hundred. Some of the stores will even reset it for free

i have one of those now - will clear most codes but not the hard codes - thats why i'm looking for a smarty

You might be able to pick up a Bully Dog Downloader cheaper. I don't know for sure if it will clear all the codes or not, but I think it will.

hard codes wont clear. well they clear and then come right back. a smarty wont be able to clear them any differently. what code are you coming up with?

Well I Have Been Told By People On This Website That A Smarty Will Clear It - Well It Happened Again Over The Weekend - Started The Truck After The Truck Pull , Put On The High Idle On To Get The Cab Nice And Cold And When I Got In To Tow 11,000 Lbs Home - Check Engine Light Was On And Couldn't Get More Than 5 Lbs Of Boost - Same Code Again - Under Boost - Tried Sevaral Times To Turn The Key On & Off , Started A Dozen Times , Then Towed It About 5 Miles ( This Sucks With No Boost ) Pulled Over, Shut The Truck Off , Recycled The Key Again Twice And Restated And Light Was Off And Had My Boost Back - Proceeded To Tow My Tractor Home Doing 75 Mph And No Problem - Hauled *** -

Yes it does.

A bully Dog Power Pup will also clear that code. It is an underboost code that is caused by having an aftermarket turbo... Most of the box companies have it figured out...



I feel your pain! I was towing all over the country and my truck would go into limp mode... Downright dangerous on the highways around LA. Anyway, I changed boxes to a TST and do not get the code anymore...



The bully dog was my friend before I got the TST. The code would pop up, I would pull over and clear it. . Being underway within a few minutes...
