Here is anouther question why isnt there a problem with the gen 2 trucks and so on ? maybe a person needs to use the peices out of a newer truck to completely retrofit the system to 134 also when theses systems have been charged with 134 and what not was the system charged with a actual system that pulls a vacumme if not im shure thats the issue , if my dad was still around hed have the answer being a 30 year radaitor and automotive a/c man

I have thought of this also about the later trucks with 134. I am wondering if A/C compressor high pressure cycling switch was redesigned. The one on my truck does cycle the compressor. It just doesn't seem to be right. It is allowing high head pressures. The switch is designed to not allow that to happen.

I don't have access to a 2nd gen to look it over real close. I do have a CR I can look over.

RW the 3rd gen's have a reverse rotation fan. So the clutch is reverse rotation also. Looked one of those over already. The fan blades are 3" wider than ours. So it wouldn't fit into our fan shrouds.

On my crew cab im planing on running the compressor that came with the 94 engine im going to use . So i guess id have to get the pressure switch from a 94 as well and the condesor unless i find a aftermarket peice or just say screw it and pay the dollars for R12 or try freeze zone

That 94 is might be R12. I think 95 was the change over year.

You staying with the old style doghouse on the crew or going with the later IC grille setup?

'93 was the change over year. There were some Toyotas - I believe - that had R12 - don't know why but they were the only '94 that I serviced that were R12.

94 is a 134 system , Im going to use the 85 core support and make the ic work once i find a gen 2 IC along with probally a gen 2 ac condensor and what ever else i score
