Well I finally made a few passes at the local drag strip on friday. I ran a 9. 9 in the 1/8 mile and thought I was doin pretty good. Then tonite my clutch died. Im plannin on goin with a DD this time but I dont know all of the different kinds. I am looking for something I can do some sled pulling with and maybe a few passes at the track. Most importantly I need to have a streetable truck and my trailer. I remember reading about SBCs 3850 DD? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

DD make it time consuming to shift gear might think about that if ur gonna put it on the strip most of the time other that that i love that iron giant

I have the FE 13" upgrade in my '96, really like it, drives easy, but I don't know how much TQ & HP you can throw at it. Bear in mind when you build a rig for competition you give up a little on the drivability side.

I might go to the track 5 times a year and only for fun and Im plannin on pullin locally, maybe 10 times? What is teh difference on the buttons in those two clutches? 6 or 12? Also would I have to upgrade the hydraulics?

Thanks
